The Eze Eclipse™ solution is a born-in-the-cloud investment solution that supports start-up, emerging equity-, and event-focused hedge funds’ full investment process in a single, unified platform through a secure web browser interfaceAs an Associate Director, Engineering you will be fulfilling a player-coach role, contributing to Eclipse Engineering sprint goals while also assigning work, managing, providing technical mentorship, and monitoring the progress of the Eclipse Engineering staff.Job Functions:Own full employee lifecycle from hire to terminationOwn review process and provide timely feedback and coachingProvide thought leadership and decision making on code structure and directionProvide technical leadership and/or mentor other engineers within a scrum teamResponsible for maintaining healthy team dynamicsWrite, test, and maintain code for EclipseMaintain efficiency and stability of the applicationApply modern coding methods in a multi-threaded programing environmentLead complex projects across Eclipse engineeringWork with Product Management to extract technical requirements from documented market problemsQualifications:B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or related degree10 years of experience or the equivalent skill-level coding in C# or JavaExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage 1-2 scrum teamsExperience providing technical leadership, providing design advice, and mentoring other engineersExperience driving technical discussions and facilitating technical decisionsExperience making significant contributions to overall architectureExperience developing high-performance softwareStrong debugging and troubleshooting skillsExperience with multi-threaded programmingExperience with Agile methodologiesFamiliarity with a Devops environmentFamiliarity with design patterns and microservices architectureActive interest in new technology and emerging engineering practicesNice To Haves:Knowledge of the financial and/or trading industry and trading systems.Working knowledge of AWS, including Kinesis, Kubernetes, and Flink#LI-EzeUnless explicitly requested or approached by SS&C Technologies, Inc. or any of its affiliated companies, the company will not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
