Business Development Director

Asymchem is a leading global CMC CDMO with USFDA inspected facilities in the P.R. China. Support of growth plans as the company continues to evolve and grow, Asymchem is searching for talented individuals to join our development and manufacturing team. The position is ideally suited to a candidate with biology or process chemistry experience in a contracting development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). Responsibilities Generate business leads and revenue from small or chemical macromolecule drug substance and drug product programs through your existing list of c ontact s. Continually generate and feed a pipeline of new business leads via prospecting, networking, and other up-to-date methods, virtual or in-person, for business development. Have good understanding of process chemistry, analytical chemistry, enzymes manufacture and application to biocatalysis , peptide and oligonucleotide process. Maintain strong understanding of Asymchem’s capabilities to clearly convey to clients of all levels. M anag e projects brought in by the Business Development (BD) team for late clinical development and all supporting aspects including PMI (M7), REACH/SEPA and into commercial supply . Maintain strong technical and market knowledge in current therapeutic areas in order to enable meaningful conversations with prospective customers . B e the direct interface for much of the correspondence between Asymchem and Clients , a s well as support the BD and technical team s . Gather market insights, assesses market potential and the competitive landscape in the US to feed back to the internal group of actions required in order to generate business. I nteract effectively with the Project Management Office (PMO) and other relevant groups to drive effective performance of projects . Be able to s tructure deals, lead negotiation process es, and close deals , in coordination with relevant supporting internal teams and management. Attend scheduled client meetings to report/follow – up action items to Client, Tech and China teams to keep projects on schedule and on-budget. Issue instructions for requests, including samples, batch records, etc. , keeping to Scope of work and budget. Completing RFI and RFP’s for submission to Clie nt s Provide support in proposal writing Requirements: B. S . in science field with m inimum 5 years industry e xperience . Strong knowledge and experience of USFDA ICH Q7A requirements Experience i n pharmaceutical CMC space Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Project.
