It is an impactful leadership position, and will direct and oversee the financial activities of the agency, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, create forecasts predicting future growth, and develop a strategic plan for financial performance.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management and proven success leading a team, as well as proficiency working and communicating with employees, board members, and external stakeholders.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIESOversight of all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the agency.Advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, evaluating and assisting them with their financial plans (budgets).Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory and audit requirements.Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.Works with the President & CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.Maintain internal control safeguards.Oversee cash, investment and asset management.Optimize the handling of banking relationships.Engage the board audit committee relating to operational financial delivery and engaging outside consultants (auditors).Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial information both internally and externally.Oversees Business Office, budget preparation, and audit functions.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required.Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.Excellent management and supervisory skills.Excellent analytical and organizational skills.Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
