Job Summary
Reporting to the CEO, the CMO will lead the planning, development, and execution of the marketing teams efforts for the company on its path to 350 employees. This includes playing a vital role in the company’s growth and have important responsibilities that range from creative influence to business strategy.
The most important part of this role is that you are a qualitative and quantitative brain in Marketing. The CMO is someone who deeply understands analytics while also being able to understand and drive empathetic messaging to our customers.
The second most important part is that you understand performance and marketing at your core, from digital to offline channels. The person we’re looking for lives and breathes optimizing marketing budgets across SEM, Facebook, Radio, Podcast, and eventually television.
Bambee is ultimately looking for a CMO with a founder-level obsession to use the different levers within the business to propel Bambee through its next phase of growth. This position will contribute to the strategic framework and decision – an effort to set long-term company-wide strategies.
Who You Are
10+ years’ experience in marketing and performance/growth marketing
Thrives in a metric-driven environment, where quantitative decision making is essential
Translate big data analysis into well-managed leads that drive sales team performance for inbound marketing, and inbound sales inside a sales organization
Possess a deep understanding of SaaS and subscription-driven products whether in B2B or small business marketing
Experience in high-growth technology company(s) and IPO, while managing performance marketing budgets of $20M – $100M per year
Understand how to bolster company impressions and increase leverage for growth by using social media and content and SCO/organic growth in all aspects of marketing
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Both tactically and strategically minded.
Able to operate in the weeds, but also be the strategic leader with the ability to build integrated strategies and frameworks
Great communication and interpersonal skills
What You’ll Do
Lead all go-to-market strategy and execution, across sales, marketing, partnerships, and customer success
Oversee and lead life cycle marketing, including text messaging, email, etc. to increase company and customer engagement and partner with our customer success team to drive engagement across all product lines
Create and develop new ideas around brand and creative that will own company messaging by leveraging our public relations strategy
Will obsess over constant customer touchpoints and feeback
Analyze conversion rates and create action plans to make the most effective content
Develop efforts in lead generation by targeting prospective customers and nurturing initial interests in the Bambee products
Elevate company brand through company growth
Drive revenue by increasing sales through marketing activities
Develop the structure of the business’s marketing department
Approve marketing campaign ideas
Coordinate marketing efforts with the company’s financial and branding goals
Determine and implement KPIs for the marketing department
Design, plan and execute effective marketing campaigns
Attract, hire, and retain world class talent.
Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and the executive management team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations and charting the right marketing course for the company
Product Marketing Responsibilities
Develop processes on guiding potential customers through stages in the customer journey
Partner with internal Sales and Business Engagement teams to create and tailor marketing messages to influence positive customer experiences
Work closely with data analytics partners to build a world-class performance marketing engine across tracking, attribution, and optimization
Understand market trends, customer requirements, usage and buying behaviors to better identify market opportunities for product offerings
Provide input and strategy into product roadmap and strategy based on market, customer research and competitive findings
Salary range: $275,000 – $340,000 annually
