Also, for creating a culture of safety to reduce safety related incidents. Responsibilities include collaborative planning of quality management with pathologists, managers, supervisors and other operational leaders, employee engagement in the quality process, planning and electronic document control of quality plans, developing and measuring metrics to gauge progress, and ensure quality initiatives are sustained throughout all divisions of the organizationResponsibilities:Oversees the daily workflow and leadership of the departmentAssists in educating new staff, including physicians, about QI systems and requirementsPlans, designs, implements, and maintains a comprehensive clinical practice continuous quality improvement (CQI) program including utilization management and risk managementLeads the Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team and oversees the enterprise-wide safety program at all levelsOversees the implementation and maintenance of standardized protocols and best practice throughout the corporate enterpriseConducts Root Cause Analysis and safety investigationsParticipates in strategic and operational planning at senior level to ensure quality initiatives are sustained and continually advancedMonitors clinical practice efforts to ensure compliance with internal and external QI standards. Reviews medical records and other documentation to ensure quality care and prepares quarterly QI reportsOversees quality monitoring metrics for the corporation, including root cause analysis and reviewing corrective action and preventive measures.
