Custodian – City of Chicago

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Custodian to join our team in the vibrant city of Chicago. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for staff and visitors. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas such as offices, restrooms, and common spaces. Additionally, you will be tasked with emptying trash bins, replenishing supplies, and performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in custodial work, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and certification in cleaning procedures or related fields is a plus. You must be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods of time.
