Under the direction of the VP, Programs and Advancement this position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The incumbent serves as a member of the advancement team, providing strategic fundraising, member, and donor engagement efforts to advance the YMCA’s mission. The Director is responsible for the Association’s Annual and Capital Campaigns & Special Events, working to ensure a culture of philanthropy is present year-round.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Five or more years of professional experience with a background in fundraising in the YMCA or another non-profit.
Annual and Capital campaign experience required.
Proficiency with a fundraising database and reporting
Ability to relate to top community leaders and diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Working knowledge of giving and charitable vehicles.
Member of our service area with extensive knowledge of community preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written communication.
