Job Description:
MoCaFi is adding an experienced Data and Analytics Manager who will define and design the business intelligence solutions to optimize the use of data within our products. In this role, the individual will assess how our data is used today and identify opportunities to enhance it. As a Product team member, the Data & Analytics Manager will develop business cases for potential products, assess market share penetration, evaluate product usage, provide monthly business reporting to key stakeholders, and streamline data literacy across the company.
This role will be accountable for leading, contributing, and implementing data & analytics to deliver both near-term and long-term market growth strategies. Working alongside senior leaders, they will deliver insights and analyses that shape product priorities. The Data & Analytics Manager will report directly to the Head of Product and have a BI Analyst as a direct report. While MoCaFi is headquartered in New York City, this position can be based anywhere in the US. The salary range is $130-155k.
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead data assessment across the company, includingdefining and designing the business intelligence solutions
Conduct data analysis for both the product portfolio and market/competitive landscape to identify trends and potential solutions to enhance MoCaFi’s product offerings and user experience
Take an active role in product & strategy development
Develop business cases in conjunction with the finance team to determine NPV, ROI, etc., for product enhancements
Manage the Product P&L
Determine and assess how to leverage data received from each MoCaFi’s products and vendors.
Provide ongoing reporting on product performance to both external and internal stakeholders
Build and maintain the data & reporting tools that will streamline access for users, including but not limited to tracking product performance, sales performance, and customer escalations/complaints
Lead the company’s efforts to automate data collection and retention. Partner with the tech team to understand our underlying data structure and sources to determine the changes required to close any data gaps
Create opportunities for efficiencies in reporting through process improvements, vendor leverage, and data analysis, coordinating with the business units to implement solutions and track ROI where possible
Define ways to measure the company’s impact on municipal clients, cardholders, and the communities in which we operate and embed them in the company’s offering and process
Work with product, sales, operations, marketing, sales, finance, and legal teams to streamline and maximize data literacy and use across the company

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in the payments industry and consumer banking (e.g., payment processing, acquiring, issuing, payment technology provider, etc.)
Segmentation and forecasting
Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Business, Strategy, or Analytics
Qualified to work in the United States; domestically based
