Description: The Director Sales, Retail In-Store Bakery is responsible for the day-to-day management and growth of Crown Bakeries sales to In-Store Bakery and Deli customers with an emphasis on the organic growth of Crown Bakeries’ core bakery items and an emphasis on acquiring and retaining new strategic customers to drive the overall profitability of the business. This position requires an elevated level of customer service, detail orientation, and communication at all levels of the organization. Requirements: Responsibilities: Create and achieve annual sales budget through a strong industry knowledge of customer demand, growth plans and targeted new business opportunities. Design and implement sales growth plans that include an actively managed pipeline of prospective new accounts as well as new product introductions. Drive new opportunities to address underutilized production lines. Actively participate in the management of on-hand inventories, demand planning, customer orders and receivable issues. Partner with Director, Marketing & Communications to create sales presentations that are tailored to ISB and Deli opportunities. Attend weekly calls via Microsoft Teams that enable collaboration and enhanced communication. Drive relationships within assigned customers and targets across various functions to ensure Crown’s position as a Supplier of Choice. Work directly with Retail operators to develop products that meet specific needs within Crown Bakeries core product offering. Develop a 30/60/90-day plan that provides a focus on execution against key initiatives and new business development. Actively manage Crown’s ISB broker network identifying new opportunities and key customer initiatives that will allow for new product placement. Set goals and expectations with Broker network that is aligned with Crown Bakeries strategic growth strategies. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, applicable experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of degree. 7+ years of experience in In-Store Bakery/Deli Skills/Attributes: Drive for Results Problem Solving Functional/Technical Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Level) Corporate Applications – SAGE, SEI (training to be provided) Strong attention to detail Self-starter, well organized with effective time-management. Flexibility in a changing environment Positive Attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of management across customer base. Work Environment: This job operates primarily in an office location. The employee is occasionally exposed to facility elements such as extreme temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
