****Family Service Association is offeringa $1,000.00 signingbonus for this position*****Family Service Association hasa Full Time (40) hours per week) opening for a Family Partner at our Family Resource Center. We are offering a flexible schedule between the hours of 8:30am – 5pm, Monday-Friday with ( 1-2 evenings per week until 7pm and 1 Saturday per month from 9am – 12pm).The Family Partner works in conjunction with the Clinician to complete the CANS Assessment and to develop the Family Support Plan for Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues.The Family Resource Center is a community-based, culturally competent program that provides evidence-based parent education groups, information and referral, mentoring, educational support and other opportunities for children and families. The Family Resource Center also provides services specific to Children Requiring Assistance who are having serious problems at home and at school, including runaways, truants, and sexually exploited children.Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees the implementation of the Family Support Plan with support from other FRC staff. Work with all Family Members who are involved with the FRC; however, Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues are prioritized for services.Provides peer support to families, letting them know that they have been where the family is and that their voice and opinions will be listened to. Facilitate FRC parenting, family and youth groups.Linking family with appropriate services, advocating for them when necessary. Focuses on understanding and meeting family needs. Fostering empowerment, including linkages to peer/parent support and self-help programs.Family partners must participate in supervision as needed. Maintain all ethical and legal requirements of the Agency.Respond to reasonable expectations of Agency and/or supervisor.Maintains positive work relationships in a respectful and collaborative manner. Maintains good communication with others ensuring others have necessary information.Actively works toward organizational improvement and professional growth. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends to meet the needs of the Family Resource Center.Required to drive a personal vehicle on FRC business. **Must have acceptable motor vehicle, and appropriate insurance coverage.**Education and Experience:Minimum staff qualifications for a family partner include:Experience preferred as a parent or caregiver of a youth with special needs and/or youth with mental health needs or familiarity with CRA-related issues.High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in navigating any of the child and family-serving systems and teaching family members who are involved with the child and family serving systemsThis is a benefits eligible position.We offer a comprehensive benefits package including:• Medical, dental, vision insurance• Long term disability insurance• Life insurance• 403b pension plan• Flexible spending account• Three weeks paid vacation• Twelve paid holidays• Generous earned sick time.
