The PositionWe are offering an opportunity for an outstanding scientist in the predictive ADME group within the DMPK department at Genentech. You will work with our established team to further develop and deliver the vision of in vitro ADME, including the optimization of ADME properties through various in vitro assays in drug discovery and development. As a team leader and scientific in vitro ADME expert, you will work in a collegial environment within DMPK and with project teams and jointly support our drug discovery portfolio. In the DMPK department, we enable both drug discovery and development projects as an integral partner in identifying compounds with superior ADME properties using state-of-the-art methodologies across diverse therapeutic areas and small molecule modalities. Your Profile:You have extensive experience in a wide variety of in vitro ADME assays, and deep fundamental understanding of mechanistic ADME, including a solid track record of publications in applying new science and technologies to enhance in vitro ADME assays. Your strong bio/chemistry background enables you to evaluate and interpret in vitro ADME data in the context of IVIVC/IVIVE, closely work with our partners and contribute to overall lead optimization and candidate identification strategies. You have extensive hands-on experience in various LC-MS platforms supporting in vitro ADME assays so that you can support your direct reports in their work and enable them to troubleshoot various technical issues. You are innovative and passionate for science, and you work in a collaborative and inclusive manner.Minimum Requirements:You have 10+ years relevant in vitro ADME experience and at least 5+ years in a role in supporting DMPK projects. Having a good understanding of in vivo study design and IVIVE data interpretation would be a plus.You have managed direct reports and are comfortable setting goals, managing deliverables and mentoring technical and career development. Preferably, you have had experiences in supporting novel modalities and managing in vitro ADME assays at external CROs.
