Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific has awarded Dragados JV a $2.8 billion task order – under an $8 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), multiple-award construction contract awarded in November 2021 to Dragados JV to replace a dry dock at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility at Joint Base Pearl Harbor.The Marine Superintendent will manage equipment and subcontractors related to the Marine Department.RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervise and be responsible for employees in the Marine Construction DepartmentConfer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delaysOrder procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedulesConfer with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectorsPrepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reportsCost controlAttend coordination and production meetings with the PM to develop activities and amend possible problems related to structuresPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)5+ years’ experience in similar marine construction role with 10+ years of prior construction experienceGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret , technical procedures and government regulationsAbility to write daily reports,Computer Skills: Microsoft OfficeAvailability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
