Position Details – BestSelf Behavioral Health careers Position Details search Program Director of ACT Strive FLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The ACT Program Directorestablishes, administers, and directs the Assertive Community Treatmentprogram, a self-contained clinical team which assumes responsibility fordirectly providing needed treatment, rehabilitation, and support services toidentified clients with severe and persistent mental illness as assigned bythe Erie County Department of Mental Health Single Point of EntryCoordinator. The Program Directorsupervises and evaluates the multidisciplinary team in conjunction withappropriate psychiatric support to ensure service excellence, and functionsas a practicing clinician on the team. The Program Director directs the day-to-day clinical operations of theteam and coordinates the client admission process and services in conjunctionwith the team psychiatrist.  RESPONSIBILITIES: Shares case management, treatment andrehabilitation duties with the team.Insures that staff is educated in and followthrough with outreach safety protocol.24/7 program on-call for staff consultation andcrisis intervention.Trains staff in ACT core competency skills asidentified by the NYS Office of Mental Health.Insures accurate communication and reporting tothe Erie County Single Point of Entry and Assisted Outpatient TreatmentPrograms.Responsible for insuring cross-training on amultidisciplinary team.Provides personnel management including:administration of personnel and clinical policies.Evaluates each team member annually.Organizes chairs and facilitates ACT MorningMeetings.Determines the appropriateness of each referraland interfaces with all referral sources, as needed.Oversees the completeness and formatting of allclinical records, treatment planning processes, charts, anddocumentation protocols.Addresses the training needs of the team andpromotes access to relevant trainings.Promotes the program to all potential referralsources in an ongoing effort to provide community awareness regardingACT eligibility criteria and services.Oversees the general operation of the ACT team.Assumes and designates on-call responsibilityfor 24-hour coverage.Conducts staff recruitment.Fiscal management and budget oversight.Ensures maintenance of the program’s physicalenvironment.Develops and maintains program policies, forms,and procedures and revises these as necessary.Insures compliance with the NYS Office ofMental Health ACT Licensing protocols.Insures agency corporate compliance standardsare maintained.Schedule and assignedduties are subject to change based on the needs of the program and theclients we serve. QUALIFICATIONS: ·Possesses a Master’s degree in arelevant professional discipline.·Professional (QHP)certification/licensure that meets the NYS Office of Mental Health definitionfor professional staff. ·Possesses three years’ full time mentalhealth experience, including one year in a senior clinician or supervisoryroleANDAvalid NYS drivers’ license.Automobilein good working order.Musthave Accredited NYS Defensive driving course; or obtain within 15 daysof hire.Mustmaintain Active NYS Defensive Driving class every 3 years, uponexpiration.Ifdriving one’s own vehicle, must maintain valid inspection and automobileinsurance.Mustprovide proof of insurance upon hire and when requested.
