Project Coordinator/Manager, Business and Technology Projects

The coordinator/manager would support activities for BPC’s program. The specific portfolio includes a wide array of issues including small business, corporate governance, ESG, and competitiveness. BPC’s projects bring together political leaders and experts to produce reports and policy recommendations and works with stakeholders from other organizations to advance our policy objectives. A successful applicant would have 1-3 years of experience with administrative and logistics tasks, scheduling, coordinating across organizational teams and some policy research.RESPONSIBILITIESPrimarily responsible for day-to-day coordination and/or management of the Business team’s activities.Develop and coordinate project workflow, communications calendar, and development responsibilities.Coordinate integration of projects and BPC/BPC Action functional areas, including development, operations, and communications teamsDraft external communications and development documents, monthly blog posts, and grant reportsConduct research into specific issue areas, and development projects as needed,  related to Business policyProvide administrative support by scheduling meetings with staff, project leadership, consultants, and external organizations, arrange travel and accommodations for project members and meeting attendees, plan logistics for project-related meetings, and manage reimbursementsPrepare agendas for, attend, and take and circulate notes on all project meetingsWork with the events team to plan and staff internal and external eventsThe Project Manager/Coordinator will also work with the development team to draft grant proposals, grant reports and support other donor management needs  QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s or Master’s Degree and at least 1 year of experience OR at least 3 years relevant office experience (Project Coordinator) OR Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience OR at least 5 years relevant experience (Project Manager)Computer skills are a must. Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office SuitePrevious scheduling experience and the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms is essentialStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing deadlinesWorks well independently and as part of a teamExperience on the Hill or researching policy topics such as Technology, Corporate Governance, or legal topicsEvent planning experience a plusBPC offers a highly competitive salary and provides generous benefits.
