The research data analyst will work closely with the principal investigator and key implementing partners, including the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, local health departments in California, and select community-based partners, on implementation research projects focused on understanding how to best integrate mental health and HIV-related service delivery. The research data analyst may also support implementation research and program evaluation on other health equity projects. The research data analyst will be responsible for working with the principal investigator and implementing partners to design, implement, analyze, and disseminate findings on quantitative and qualitative evaluations that includes implementation research frameworks and methods. Responsibilities include facilitating meetings with partners to clarify implementation research questions and supporting PRISE Center faculty to design mix-methods studies and data collection instruments. The data analyst will manage data collection processes that may involve collecting primary or secondary qualitative and quantitative data from multiple patients and key stakeholders. This may involve training project/partner staff to securely collect and enter data into appropriate data management systems. The data analyst will manage data storage, coding, transformation, extraction, and analysis, based on study aims and guidance from PRISE Center faculty. Additional key responsibilities include developing reports to disseminate findings and ensuring that primary and secondary data collected are analyzed using a program evaluation/impact evaluation framework. The incumbent will monitor the implementation of all quantitative evaluation activities, including the design of data collection instruments, data analysis and interpretation, development of graphs, charts and other data visualizations, and development of project deliverables. The analyst will also support qualitative evaluation activities, including coding and analysis of qualitative data and synthesis of themes. The data analyst will support PRISE Center faculty to draft manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Finally, the data analyst will provide project management support to PRISE Center faculty and implementation research partners, including scheduling meetings, setting agendas, facilitating meetings, taking notes, developing research and evaluation project timelines, tracking key deliverables, organizing records and files, and donor reporting.
