Position Objective, Typical Duties and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven individual to join Pensionmark Financial Group as our Senior Director of Strategy Management. In this key leadership role, you will serve as the leader of Strategy Management on our Investment Team, reporting directly to the Pensionmark Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Your primary objective will be to drive strategic initiatives and manage model portfolio strategies for wealth management clients within our World MAP Model Portfolio Program. Join us at Pensionmark and contribute your expertise to our dynamic team as we strive for excellence in investment management and client satisfaction.Top of FormTypical Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategy Management LeaderServe as a leader of Strategy Management on Pensionmark’s Investment Team, reporting to the Pensionmark Chief Investment Officer (CIO).Serve as permanent voting member of the Pensionmark Selection Committee, which manages the addition and removal of funds, products, and strategies from Pensionmark’s Select List.Perform or assist with manager/product research, as needed.Manage and supervise team members assigned to the Strategy Management function.Train, develop, and/or mentor team members who are less experienced in portfolio management.World MAP Model Portfolio ProgramDevelop model portfolio strategies, and document their objectives and constraints in an Investment Policy Statement (IPS).Actively manage the model portfolio series to meet or exceed the return and risk targets set for each model portfolio series within their IPS.Monitor, evaluate, and adjust model portfolio series holdings and allocations in accordance with their IPS.Develop and maintain relevant decision documentation for all model portfolio series managed. Ensure all strategy management activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Create periodic quantitative and qualitative updates on managed model portfolio series for further use in client communications and marketing materials.Provide periodic, comprehensive updates on the managed model portfolio series to the CIO. Be accountable to CIO and to the Pensionmark Investment Committee for return and risk results of managed model portfolio series.World MAP Asset AllocationCollaborate with CIO on the development of strategic asset allocation views for various World Managed Account Platform (World MAP) model portfolio series.Collaborate with CIO and other Investment Team members on the periodic generation, discussion, implementation, and monitoring of tactical asset allocation views.World MAP Multi-Manager PortfoliosCollaborate with CIO and other Investment Team members on the design, construction, and ongoing management of World MAP Multi-Manager Portfolios (“models of models”).Investment Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)Act as a subject matter expert for Investment Team on portfolio management topics.Maintain deep knowledge of current and historical economic, market, and investment strategy news, developments, and trends.Continually develop knowledge of advanced investment management topics, techniques, and methods, both independently and in collaboration with other Investment Team members. Present and communicate on Pensionmark’s investment strategies and on investment management topics at conferences, meetings, and on webinars, as requested.Additional related responsibilities and work as assigned by the CIO and/or Pensionmark leadership. Position RequirementsBachelors degree required with a minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in investment management and/or wealth management.Demonstrable advanced experience and leadership in the various stages and aspects of multi-asset (equities, fixed income, cash, and alternatives) model portfolio research, analysis, and management. Highly motivated and results driven individual, a self-starter.Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong client meeting and presentation skills.Strong aptitude for working collaboratively in a team environment while working in a fully remote capacity.Preference Given to Candidates with the Following Qualifications:Active Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.Master’s degree in finance, investments, statistics, economics, business administration, or related field preferred.Investments designations such as Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), and/or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) are also preferred.Documented track record of portfolio management success.Compensation The salary for this position generally ranges between $150,000-$185,000. This range is an estimate, based on candidate qualifications and operational needs. The firm also has a bonus program.
