We currently have an opportunity available for a Senior Geophysicist to support both existing programs/projects and new business development initiatives within EA’s growing Munitions Response practice line. The Senior Geophysicist will serve as the lead for geophysical efforts during proposal preparation and project execution for both MMRP investigation and remediation efforts. The Senior Geophysicist works closely with the Proposal Group and Project Managers located in various office locations.Primary duties and responsibilities:Developing technical approach for geophysical investigation and remediation on MMRP proposalsPreparing purchase requisitions and obtaining bids for geophysical mapping servicesPreparing work plans in support of investigation and remediation projectsEvaluating geophysical data relative to presence and extent of buried military munitions.Supervising geophysical activities and providing quality control of surveying and mapping.Preparing reports in support of investigation and remediation projects.Reviewing geophysical survey reports and presenting quality control data.What you will need:Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics, Geology, or Geological Engineering10+ years of direct work performing and processing geophysical surveys.Five years’ experience in detection and discrimination of buried military munitions at MMRP or other sites.Strong understanding of business development relative to preparation of MMRP proposals and teaming with contractors.The ability to work independently as well as with small and large teams across many professional levels and disciplines.High level of proficiency using all Microsoft applications (Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint).Proficiency with Visual Sampling Plan (VSP) and Seequent Oasis montaj software.Thorough knowledge of Munitions Response Quality Assurance Project Plan (MR QAPP) Toolkit Module 1: Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study and Engineering Manual (EM) 200-1-15.Demonstrated success preparing proposals, work plans, reports, and meeting deadlines.Effective written and oral communication skills.Experience working with regulatory agencies a plus.Willingness to travel out of state to proposal site visits and project jobsites at both DoD installations and remote FUDS properties, typically no longer than 1 week.OSHA HAZWOPER training and First Aid/CPR certifications.What we provide: EA prides itself on servant leadership, career development for staff in all areas, and maintaining work-life balance including flexible schedules.
