This role will be responsible for conducting and overseeing research, field work, impact analysis, report preparation, and business development related to CEQA/NEPA and related technical studies. We have an immediate opening and excellent professional growth opportunity for a **Senior Transportation Environmental Planner/Scientist** to join our team in our Oakland or Sacramento office.* Write and manage the preparation of complex CEQA/NEPA documents for roadway, transit, and rail projects* Oversee and train junior staff on CEQA/NEPA and other planning/environmental requirements* Interface with clients and make public presentations to agency decision-making bodies* Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance* Perform various business development functions, including proposal preparation and active involvement in transportation-related planning/environmental organizations* Demonstrate confidence in decision-making and be recognized by clients and peers as having expertise in CEQA/NEPA and related technical areas* BS/BA Degree in applicable field and 12+ years of increasingly responsible experience required* Advanced Degree (Masters/PhD) preferred* Experience in a private environmental consulting firm preferred* Experience working with and/or for Metro, Caltrans, FTA, FHWA and/or local or a regional transportation/transit agency preferred* Excellent verbal and written skills* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large multi-disciplinary team* Excellent organization, schedule and budget management skills* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)* Willingness to travel as projects require**What Do You Get To Do In This Position:****This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:**Rincon Consultants, Inc. is an award-winning leader in providing quality environmental consulting services throughout California.
