SVP, Organization Design Advisor (Hybrid)

The SVP, Organization Design Advisor is part of the newly formed Organization Design team formed to support Citi’s global transformation efforts and organization simplification agenda.We are at a pivotal moment of redefinition across our franchise as we transform our risk and control environment to one that is stronger and simpler. The primary focus of this role is to support the evaluation of the current organization structures and shape the design of simpler and more effective future state organization structures.Organization design is a key strategic lever to realize simplification and clarify accountabilities during large scale change and transformation. This role will work with the HR and business leaders to interpret the organizational implications of their strategic choices, ensuring that the future design of the organization aligns to the group strategy, transformation objectives and to pre-defined principles including size, shape, skill mix and location.Key Responsibilities:Member of an internal organization design practice focused on aligning the organization structure to the target state strategyDevelop design principles and tools for effective organization design based on business needAssess organization complexity and propose solutions for simplification, including effective spans and layersDesign and validate implementation of principles around the appropriateness of dual roles and matrix reporting for risk and control roles within the organizationAnalyze organization structures and make recommendations to drive optimal organization size, shape and skill mixPartner across the organization to deliver effective change management around broad-scale organization changes to roles, responsibilities and accountabilitiesLead large organization change efforts, including shifts in roles and responsibilities and right-placement in workTranslate existing HR data points into an OD narrative with accompanying insightUnderstand and articulate gaps between future state OD and current organization structures including alignment of future state organization structure with budget and workforce plansDefine metrics to measure traction/ improvement on organization simplification, organization health and organization efficiencyKnowledge & Skills:Practical working knowledge of organization design requiredKnowledge and experience of using organization design specific technologiesAnalytical insight and intellectual curiosityStrong understanding of change management and the people and communication skills to support changeUnderstanding and experience of best practice organization design including the associated tools and techniquesUnderstanding of the impact of shifts in changes of roles and responsibilities on organization structureProven experience working on organization design programs in a large scale environmentExperience supporting large-scale transformation programsAbility to develop strategic design principles to inform organization design choicesHigh level of analytic capability; driving data driven decisioning through both reading and interpreting data as well as directly analyzing and building reportsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong influencing skills at all levels of the organization, and ability to work in a complex matrix environmentAbility to build strong relationships as a trusted partner and work across senior management teamsStrong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectivelyHigh tolerance for dealing with ambiguity and on-going changeAbility and willingness to operate at strategic and practical levelAbility to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesSelf-starter with high levels of resilienceQualifications:Bachelor’s / University Degree in related discipline preferred10+ years experience within Human Resources, with most recent 5+ years experience directly in Organizational Design————————————————-Job Family Group: Human Resources————————————————-Job Family:Talent, Development, Learning & Diversity——————————————————Time Type:Full time——————————————————Primary Location:New York New York United States——————————————————Primary Location Salary Range:$139,090.00 – $208,630.00——————————————————Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Citi”) invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
