The OpportunityThis position is with the Digital Enterprise team which is part of the office of Technology & Data Science (TECH). The team is responsible for architecting solutions for, and supporting enterprise business systems including Salesforce, Workday, and JAMIS Prime; developing systems and data integrations among business systems and external systems; and designing and developing business intelligence data models and visualizations. TECH is a team of outstanding technology professionals who provide Urban with solutions that employ state of the art technologies as well as project/product management practices including lean, agile, and design thinking. . What You’ll Do: The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work with a diversity of stakeholders to gather and document feedback, build and maintain business processes in Salesforce, and promote end user success by supporting effective adoption. Ability to work within agile development methodologies and fast-paced development cycles is essential. Experience managing projects and with programing (Java, Javascript, Apex, SoQL) is a plus. The Systems Analyst, Salesforce and Digital Enterprise will report to the Director, Digital EnterpriseResponsibilities include:Building and maintaining Salesforce Flows to automate business processesDeveloping and maintaining custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)Assisting with building and maintaining integrations between systemsAssisting with Salesforce administration, including supporting users, permissions sets, page layouts, and other general maintenance tasksCollaborating with team members and internal clients to gather requests for improvements, designing solutions, and implementing these changes as appropriateCollaborating with team members to develop analytics and data queries that support teams across UrbanManipulating, importing, and exporting data in SalesforceDocumenting solutions and processesWho You Are:We are seeking a candidate who is familiar with the Salesforce platform or software development, and has great interpersonal skills and a passion for problem solving. The ideal candidate has some experience with requirements gathering and programming in Salesforce or similar applications, and is able to work on several concurrent projects autonomously and as part of a team. The candidate should be eager to learn and accept new challenges and not afraid to test and propose innovation and new technologies.The successful applicant has:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of professional and academic experience in database management, programming, or Salesforce administrationStrong proficiency with Excel and/or other data manipulation or query tools (PowerBI, SQL, etc.)Good project management, analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requestsDedication to excellent user experience and meaningful user adoptionDocumented history of successful project completion; demonstrated ability to understand and articulate work processesThe following are preferred but not requirements:1-2 years experience in Salesforce administration (certification preferred) Familiarity with JIRA in an Agile environmentFamiliarity with Salesforce developer tools such as Apex, SoQL, LWCFamiliarity with other programming languages (html/CSS/JS, Java, R, etc.) and data formats (JSON/XMLWhat you’ll experience: No matter your role with Urban, you will contribute to meaningful work that makes a difference for people and communities across the country.
