Our company is growing and is searching for an experienced candidate for the position of VP of Engineering. In this role, you’ll play a crucial role in leading technology development, engineering, operational activities and team management. The position will be based at our headquarters and R&D lab in Santa Clara, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing and Leading the Engineering Team: oversees the entire engineering department, including performance management and professional development of engineers. Provide leadership and mentorship to the team, inspire and guide the team toward achieving their best potential. Foster growth within the team.Setting Technical Direction and Strategy for Engineering activities: lead technology development aligned with internal roadmap. Collaborate with the executive team to ensure that technical decisions align with business objectives. Lead Customer Programs: manage customer projects ensuring customers & partners are receiving the best service possible and joint-development programs are successfully performed. Engage directly with customers and partners to understand their needs and discuss progress on projects.Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement: identify areas for process optimization, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members and across functions. Ensure High-Quality Engineering & Operational Practices: overseeing project delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality executionBudget Management: budgeting across multiple projects across engineering group and operations, closely monitoring and controlling costs. Ensure efficient allocation of resources. Balance financial constraints while driving innovation and efficiency Quality Standards & Procedures: develop and implement standards and procedures, maintain consistently high quality across engineering projects, customer engagements, ensure design requirements are met. Implement procedures to ensure excellence in process & product developmentOperational Oversight: management of operational activities, including fulfillment and logistics activitiesEstablish World-Class Agile Systems: Identifying and implementing process & product improvements, customer service, systems to establish world class agile systems supporting internal activities and engagement with external stakeholders.Travel Requirement: 25%.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: M. Sc.
