Position ResponsibilitiesGolub Capital is looking for a motivated individual to perform complex data analysis and develop automated reports for business stakeholders and leadership.Manage ongoing BT&A sponsored analytics projects and develop new ones to support business needsCollaborate with counterparts across the Firm to identify, prioritize and implement strategic projects leveraging data from the Firm’s CRM and other operational systems to answer key business questionsPartner with Technology Solutions and external vendors to execute on enhancements to the analytical platforms including the Data Warehouse, Cubes, Synapse, the External Data Hub and othersMonitor technology trends and vendor capabilities to identify emerging technologies worth exploring and coordinate vendor research and demos with business counterpartsDesign, test and roll-out PowerBI reports and dashboards that are used for management of the business using a variety of sources including cubes and data warehouses / data lakesCreate routine data analysis deliverables and handle ad-hoc analysis requests for leadership and other business stakeholders, including (but not limited to) business KPI, client / competitor activity and data quality reportingSupport the development of analytical models used for analysis of operational and externally sourced market dataProactively monitor report availability and accuracy, partnering with counterparts in Technology Solutions to resolve issuesCollaborate with other Data Analytics and Data Management Teams within the Firm by contributing knowledge and best practicesManage a team of data and analytics professionals, acting as a coach and mentor for their long-term development Other tasks as assignedCandidate RequirementsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required, preferably in applied mathematics / statistics, engineering, business analytics or a related field8+ years of relevant work experience with database systems, reporting and data analysisStrong knowledge of relational databases, specifically Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, data warehouses and cubesExperience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Studio, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Black Mountain / Allvue, Wall Street Office, Eloqua, analysis of unstructured data, R and Python a plusStrong proficiency in SQL, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Visual Basic (VBA), building reports and visualizations within PowerBI or other reporting platformsExcellent analytical, problem solving and logical reasoning skillsDemonstrated written and oral communication skillsAbility to articulate complex concepts in a straightforward manner to Business and Technology Team stakeholdersAbility to balance between big picture orientation and focus on detailsAbility to think strategically and translate high-level business ideas into tangible solutions and outputsDemonstrated ability to build relationships and take a collaborative approach to problem solvingExtreme attention to detailAbility to take initiative and work independently while demonstrating strong teamworkMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time and priorities under pressure and meet deadlinesCOVID vaccinations required, subject to applicable local, state and federal lawCritical Competencies for SuccessOur Gold StandardsModel defines key behaviors and competencies across 4 dimensions: Leadership, Achieving Results, Personal Effectiveness and Thinking Critically.
