Description:
The New York Public Library is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic After School Tutors to join our NYPL After School program for the September 2025 – June 2026 term. Tutors provide homework help and enrichment activities to school-aged children in a public library setting.

Responsibilities:

Work with children ages 6–12 in a group setting during after-school hours.

Provide academic support in elementary school math, reading, science, and social studies.

Share engaging enrichment activities.

Foster a supportive, community-oriented environment in a busy public space.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or current enrollment in an undergraduate program with at least 2 years completed.

Experience teaching or working with children.

Schedule & Compensation:

Monday to Thursday, between 2 PM and 7 PM (16 hours/week).

$20/hour.
