POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Marketing to lead all marketing efforts for our growing brand. As the first senior marketing hire on a lean team, you will need to feel comfortable driving big picture strategy while also hopping in and around platforms with a high-level of organization and attention to detail. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand strategy, driving growth, and building out our marketing capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in both larger companies and earlier stage startups, with specific experience in the beauty/CPG industry, ideally with exposure to Sephora.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the strategic vision for Kate McLeod’s growth and retention marketing efforts across channels, building customer journeys that maximize replenishment, repurchase, and LTV
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive both growth and retention
Lead the development of our brand and product marketing, ensuring alignment with our target audience and competitive landscape
Own the marketing calendar, including planning and executing campaigns across various channels and platforms
Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, including internal hires and external vendors, to support our growing needs
Drive innovation and experimentation in our marketing efforts, constantly seeking new opportunities to optimize performance and ROI
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer experience, to ensure alignment and synergy across all initiatives
Monitor and analyze key metrics to track the effectiveness of our marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance
Own and manage marketing budgeting & analytics reporting, including channel forecasting and ROI assessments
REQUIREMENTS
B.A required; 8-10 years of experience in marketing roles, with a strong background in both brand and performance marketing
Proven experience driving marketing initiatives in the beauty/CPG industry, ideally with exposure to Sephora
Track record of success in building and leading high-performing marketing teams, with experience in hiring and developing talent
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive measurable results
Demonstrated interest in going “earlier stage” and driving impact at earlier stages of business growth
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and optimize performance
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels within the organization
High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details while also driving big-picture strategy
