About the Opportunity Our busy and growing San Diego, CA office is eagerly looking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer. Working with a group of professional peers who are committed to developing innovative designs for high-performance buildings, the Electrical Design Engineer will play a key role in the production of great design work. In return, you can expect exposure to exciting, challenging projects, support from a leadership team who want you to progress and grow your expertise, competitive compensation and work-life balance.Responsibilities:As an Electrical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:Maintain BIM/Revit and design filesEnsure Introba design checklist is being followedEnsure Introba BIM/Revit Standards are being followedBIM/Revit drafting and design operations Electrical and/or Photovoltaic (PV) systems design layout Perform cable calculationsPerform lighting calculationsApply prescriptive requirements of electrical building services engineering codesPerform accurate detailed site surveysPrepare panel schedules and equipment schedules Co-ordinate electrical and mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team (i.e. Architects, Structural Consultants, Code Consultants, Geotechnical Consultants, etcCo-ordinate service requirements/connections with the respective utility and/or municipal agenciesReview and process drawings Provide construction administration services Compile design reports and presentationsAttend site surveys with project manager/senior staffQualifications:To be successful in this role, we would like to see professionals with key skills and experience, including the following:Minimum 4 years design experience in LV, HV, control and lighting systemsBS Architectural Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering degree required; or equivalent combination of relevant coursework and minimum 2+ years work experience requiredBIM/Revit experience is an assetAble to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervisionAble to apply prescriptive requirements of electrical building services engineering codes with minimal supervisionProfessional Engineer (PE) or EIT designations are highly preferredIntroba is an equal opportunity employer, and we prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type as protected by federal, state, or local laws. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $74,500 – $174,700 annually for this position and local market.
