Art Handler or Lead Art Handler/Crew Chief PositionCompany: Aiston Fine Art ServicesLocation: 45-21 37th St., Long Island City, NY 11101Founded: 2002Aiston Fine Art Services, an expanding fine art transportation, logistics, and storage company, is seeking skilled, responsible, and experienced candidates for Art Handler positions.Part-time will also be considered. Responsibilities:Handle, prepare, and install fragile and valuable art objects.Work in various environments including warehouse, truck, and offsite locations.Oversee paperwork, labeling, and record-keeping.Ensure proper handling and packing of art objects.Install and deinstall artwork on location.Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year experience as an art handler.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.Knowledge of art handling, packing procedures, and installation.Presentable appearance.Preferred Qualifications (Higher Starting Wage):Ability to drive a box truck, with knowledge of ELD and DOT regulations.Minimum of 1 year as a lead art handler or crew chief.Experience with condition checking artworks (Articheck preferred, but not required).Experience in managing other handlers and leading on-site teams.Ability to communicate effectively with management and clients. Conduct site specs.Compensation:Pay is based on past employment, experience, and references.Weekly pay.Overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Most employees average 40-50 hours weekly.Performance review and potential for pay increase after six months.Work Schedule:Typically 8 AM to 5 PM, with some exceptions.Weekend work and out-of-state travel available, but not required.
