What You'll Be Doing
This is the company's
FIRST accounting hire
, a true builder role.
As Controller, you'll bring the accounting function in-house (currently on QuickBooks) and build the financial systems and operating foundation for the company's next stage of growth. This role reports to the Head of Finance, will hire a team around them and work very closely with founders and outside investors.
What You'll Bring
6+ years of accounting and finance experience, including meaningful ownership of accounting operations at a high-growth company
Strong technical accounting knowledge across financial reporting, revenue recognition, accruals, capitalization, and equity
A systems mindset: able to translate messy processes into clear workflows, reliable data, thoughtful controls, and scalable operating rhythms; comfortable designing the system, implementing it, and doing the work yourself when needed
Experience building systems for accounts payable, procurement, expense management, purchasing approvals, vendor commitments, and spend reporting
Strong analytical judgment and the ability to explain not just what changed financially, but why, and what the business should do about it
Ability to partner effectively with technical and nontechnical teams, including Engineering, Product, Sales, People, and leadership
