The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in a busy Manhattan setting by helping prepare, label, and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Core duties typically include entering prescription information, gathering medication and supply inventory, managing will-call orders, handling cash register transactions when needed, and assisting with prescription insurance claims and prior authorization-related workflow as directed. The role also involves maintaining clean and organized work areas, following state and federal pharmacy procedures, and communicating respectfully with patients and healthcare team members. A baseline background in pharmacy operations, retail pharmacy systems, or customer service is helpful, along with strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Candidates should be able to remain standing for extended periods and lift light to moderate items as part of routine pharmacy work. This is a full-time position with a schedule that may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours depending on staffing needs. Compensation may be negotiated within the posted range based on relevant experience.
