The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support in a Staten Island healthcare environment. This position helps residents or patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and other routine daily activities while preserving dignity and comfort. Common responsibilities include taking and recording basic vital signs as directed, assisting with transfers, changing linens, observing and reporting changes in condition, and maintaining a clean, safe care area. Applicants should have current CNA certification in New York and basic knowledge of patient care procedures, infection control, and communication standards. Prior experience in a long-term care or similar clinical setting is often useful. The work is physically active and may require standing for long periods, bending, lifting, repositioning patients with assistance, and responding quickly to care needs. The schedule is full time and may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts depending on facility coverage requirements.
