A Cleaner is responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, orderly, and presentable in a busy Bronx setting. Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing restrooms and shared surfaces, emptying trash, restocking basic supplies, and reporting maintenance concerns or safety hazards. The role may also involve setting up or breaking down common spaces and following cleaning procedures for different materials and surfaces. Candidates should have basic reading and communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and a dependable work history. Prior janitorial or custodial experience is helpful but not always required if the person can learn routines quickly and work carefully.
