The Dishwasher helps keep kitchen operations clean, organized, and efficient by washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other service items in a Queens food service setting. Typical duties include scraping and sorting wares, loading and unloading dish machines, restocking clean items, maintaining sanitation standards, taking out trash, and helping keep floors and work areas orderly. The position may also involve assisting with basic kitchen cleanup and supporting the team during busy meal periods. Common qualifications include the ability to follow instructions, work quickly and safely, and maintain a steady pace in a fast-moving environment. Prior kitchen or cleaning experience is helpful but not always required. This work often involves standing for long periods, repetitive motions, bending, carrying moderate loads, and exposure to heat, water, and cleaning products. The schedule is part time and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.
