The dishwasher supports kitchen cleanliness and helps maintain an orderly, efficient back-of-house operation in a busy food service setting in Queens. Typical responsibilities include washing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans; operating dishwashing equipment; sorting and storing clean items; and keeping dish areas, sinks, floors, and work surfaces sanitary. The role may also involve assisting with trash removal, recycling, and basic kitchen cleanup during and after service. Candidates should be reliable, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, bending, lifting, and carrying of moderate loads. Basic attention to hygiene and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is important. Prior kitchen or janitorial experience is helpful but not required.
