A Food Runner supports smooth dining room service by delivering meals and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables accurately and promptly. This role helps keep orders organized, confirms table numbers, and communicates clearly with servers and kitchen staff to reduce delays or mistakes. Duties may include checking that plates are complete before leaving the pass, clearing empty items when directed, restocking service areas, and maintaining a clean, orderly route between the kitchen and dining room. The position often requires walking, standing for long periods, carrying trays or multiple plates, and moving quickly in a busy environment. Basic qualifications typically include reliability, strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work well under pressure. Prior restaurant experience is helpful but not always required. Scheduling is generally based on full-time restaurant operations and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.
