Home Health Aide

Confidential employer | Brooklyn, New York, NY Full-time On-site $ 18 - 23 per hour

A Home Health Aide provides supportive, non-medical assistance to clients in their homes and helps promote comfort, safety, and daily routine. Common responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders when permitted, and monitoring basic well-being through observation and reporting concerns to supervisors or care coordinators. The work may also include helping clients move safely around the home, accompanying them to appointments, and offering companionship and reminders for daily tasks. Applicants should have patience, reliability, good communication skills, and the ability to follow a care plan closely. Basic reading and writing skills are needed for documentation, and completion of a state-approved training program or equivalent credential is typically expected. Because the role can involve lifting, transferring, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking, reasonable physical stamina is important. Compensation may be negotiated within the posted range based on relevant experience. The schedule is generally full time and may include varied shifts depending on client needs.
