Kitchen Helper needed to support daily food preparation and clean-up operations in a busy Bronx kitchen. This role assists cooks and kitchen staff by washing produce, portioning ingredients, stocking supplies, labeling items, and keeping work areas organized throughout the shift. Duties may also include loading and unloading deliveries, breaking down boxes, sanitizing counters and equipment, and helping maintain safe storage practices for food and utensils. Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and the ability to follow directions, work quickly, and communicate clearly with team members are important. Applicants should be dependable, able to stay on their feet for extended periods, and comfortable lifting moderate weights such as supplies or small equipment when needed. Schedule is full time and may include weekdays, weekends, and some holidays depending on operational needs. Prior kitchen or food service experience is helpful but not required, provided the candidate can learn procedures and maintain consistent attention to cleanliness and teamwork.
