Telworx Communications is seeking an experienced, dependable Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our growing team!
We specialize in commercial telecommunications low-voltage installations throughout the tri-state area, with the majority of our projects located in Westchester County and NYC.
We're looking for a motivated, hands-on technician who takes pride in their work, has strong technical skills, and can work independently while representing our company professionally at customer sites.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have at least 2 years of hands-on low-voltage installation experience, including:
Running, terminating, and testing Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 cabling.
Terminating and organizing patch panels.
Installing and troubleshooting low-voltage devices, including security cameras, wireless access points, TVs, desktop computers, and printers.
Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Fiber optic experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, and professionalism.
Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
OSHA 30 and SSI certifications are a plus. These certifications will be required after hire.
