Maintenance Worker

Maintenance Worker needed to help keep a busy Queens facility safe, clean, and in good working order. This role supports routine upkeep across building interiors and exterior common areas, with day-to-day responsibilities that may include basic repairs, replacing light bulbs, checking fixtures, moving materials, clearing minor debris, and reporting larger issues to supervisors or specialized trades. The position can also involve responding to work requests, assisting with preventive maintenance tasks, and helping prepare spaces for normal operations or occasional service interruptions. Baseline qualifications typically include prior experience in general maintenance, hand tools familiarity, the ability to follow instructions, and sound judgment when working around equipment and occupants. Basic reading and recordkeeping skills are important for logging completed tasks and reporting concerns. Physical work is customary and may require standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, lifting moderate items, and working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. This is a full-time position with a schedule that may include weekdays and occasional weekend or evening coverage as operational needs require.
