The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients in a busy Queens medical office and helps keep front-desk operations organized and professional. Typical duties include greeting patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, answering telephone calls, updating demographic and insurance information, collecting copayments when required, and supporting the flow of patient check-in and check-out. This role also involves maintaining accurate records, routing messages to clinical staff, and handling routine office paperwork with attention to confidentiality and detail. Qualified candidates generally have prior receptionist or administrative experience, strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and comfort working in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with medical terminology, appointment systems, or insurance verification is helpful. The work is mostly stationary with frequent use of a computer and phone, though occasional walking, reaching, or lifting light office materials may be needed. This is a full-time position with a neutral schedule based on the needs of the office.
