This Order Picker role supports warehouse and distribution operations by selecting, staging, and preparing customer orders for shipment. Typical duties include locating items in storage areas, verifying product codes and quantities, packing merchandise carefully, labeling cartons, and moving completed orders to the proper loading or staging area. The position also involves checking for damaged goods, maintaining accurate counts, and following established inventory and safety procedures. Basic qualifications usually include the ability to read order tickets, use handheld scanning equipment, and work accurately in a fast-paced setting. Previous warehouse or picking experience is helpful but not always required if the candidate can learn quickly and follow instructions. The work may involve standing for extended periods, frequent walking, repetitive reaching, and occasional lifting of moderate-weight packages. Schedule is full time and may include daytime, evening, weekend, or rotating shifts based on operational needs. Compensation may be negotiated within the posted range based on relevant experience.
