Package Delivery Drivers are responsible for transporting parcels safely and efficiently to residential and business locations throughout Staten Island. The role includes loading and unloading packages, planning efficient delivery routes, verifying addresses, obtaining required delivery confirmations, and handling items with care to help prevent damage. Drivers are expected to follow traffic laws, maintain a professional presence with customers, and keep accurate records of deliveries, exceptions, and vehicle issues. Basic qualifications typically include a valid driver’s license, a clean and safe driving record, the ability to operate a delivery vehicle, and strong time-management and customer service skills. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, using handheld devices or route tools, and lifting packages of varying sizes, sometimes repeatedly throughout the day. Physical demands commonly include standing, walking, bending, and lifting packages. This is a full-time position with a schedule that may include daytime hours and occasional overtime depending on route needs.
