Personal Care Assistants provide day-to-day support to individuals who need help maintaining a safe, comfortable routine at home. In this role, you may assist with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and reminders for medications or appointments when directed. You may also help with mobility support, companionship, and observing changes in general condition so concerns can be reported through the proper channels. Candidates should have basic communication skills, patience, reliability, and the ability to follow care instructions accurately. Previous experience in home care, elder care, or a similar support role is helpful, though not always required if the person can learn quickly and work respectfully with clients. The work may involve standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting or assisting with transfers as customary for the job. Schedule requirements are typically full time and may include daytime, evening, weekend, or holiday hours depending on client needs.
