The Store Associate supports daily retail operations in a busy Brooklyn location by helping customers, organizing merchandise, and keeping the sales floor presentable and stocked. Typical duties include greeting shoppers, answering basic product questions, processing purchases, handling returns or exchanges as directed, and assisting with inventory counts, price changes, and display setup. The role may also involve receiving deliveries, tagging items, cleaning work areas, and following store policies for cash handling and loss prevention. Baseline qualifications usually include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior customer service or retail experience preferred, and the ability to communicate clearly and work well as part of a team. Physical demands commonly include standing for long periods, lifting and moving moderate-weight items, and walking the sales floor throughout the shift.
