The Busser supports dining room operations by helping maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable environment for guests in a busy Manhattan restaurant. Core responsibilities include clearing used dishes and glassware, resetting tables quickly, refilling water as needed, removing trash, polishing service items, and assisting servers with general table maintenance during service. The position may also require monitoring the dining area for cleanliness, helping with basic side work, and moving supplies between front- and back-of-house areas. Applicants should be dependable, able to follow directions, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team setting. Prior restaurant experience is useful, though not always required. The work often involves standing for most of the shift, carrying trays or bus tubs, and repeated bending, lifting, and walking throughout service. A flexible schedule is typical and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on staffing needs.
