The dishwasher supports kitchen operations by keeping dishware, utensils, cookware, and food prep areas clean and organized in a fast-paced Queens restaurant setting. Typical duties include loading and unloading dish machines, hand-washing items as needed, scraping and sorting waste, maintaining supply levels, and helping keep floors, drains, and work surfaces sanitary. This role also assists with basic cleanup during and after meal periods and follows safe food-handling and sanitation procedures at all times. Baseline qualifications include reliability, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, attention to cleanliness, and comfort following directions in a busy team environment. Prior kitchen or dishroom experience is helpful but not required. Physical demands may include standing for long periods, lifting or carrying moderate-weight items, bending, reaching, and working in warm, wet, and noisy conditions. The schedule is part time and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation may be negotiated within the posted range based on relevant experience.
