A Kitchen Helper supports food preparation and kitchen cleanliness in a fast-paced Bronx setting. Typical duties include washing produce, organizing ingredients, stocking storage areas, cleaning work surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, and assisting cooks with routine prep tasks as directed. This role may also involve collecting trash, maintaining basic dishwashing routines, and helping keep utensils and equipment ready for use. Candidates should be dependable, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working as part of a team in a busy food service environment. Basic food safety awareness and the ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks are important. Physical demands commonly include standing for long periods, lifting light to moderate items, bending, reaching, and moving quickly in a heated kitchen area. Schedule is full time and may include daytime, evening, weekend, or holiday hours depending on operational needs.
