Maintenance Worker

The Maintenance Worker supports the upkeep of residential or commercial property systems in Queens by performing routine repairs and responding to service requests. Common responsibilities include checking fixtures, changing bulbs, troubleshooting minor plumbing or electrical issues, patching walls, adjusting doors and locks, and keeping work areas safe and organized. The position may also require documenting completed work, identifying larger repair needs, and assisting with preventive maintenance tasks. Candidates should have practical repair experience, basic knowledge of tools and building systems, and the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Good communication and problem-solving skills are important. Compensation may be negotiated within the posted range based on relevant experience. Physical work is customary and may include lifting equipment, climbing stairs or ladders, standing for long periods, and working indoors or outdoors in changing conditions. This is a full-time role with a schedule that may include weekdays, weekends, or on-call coverage as needed.
