An Order Picker is responsible for selecting products from inventory and preparing them accurately for outgoing orders in a Staten Island warehouse or distribution setting. Core duties usually include reading pick tickets or electronic instructions, retrieving merchandise from designated locations, checking item codes and quantities, placing products on pallets or carts, and reporting shortages or discrepancies. The role requires solid attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the ability to work efficiently while following safety and quality procedures. Applicants should be comfortable using basic warehouse tools and learning inventory systems as needed. Previous order fulfillment or material-handling experience is helpful, though not always required. Compensation may be negotiated within the posted range based on relevant experience.
