The Shipping and Receiving Clerk handles the flow of incoming and outgoing materials for a Manhattan operation, helping ensure orders, inventory, and records stay accurate. Daily work typically includes checking deliveries against packing slips, labeling and sorting items, preparing shipments, updating logs, and notifying staff of discrepancies or damaged goods. The position may also require using basic warehouse or inventory systems, organizing stock locations, and keeping the work area clean and orderly. Good counting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written instructions are important. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or a similar clerical support role is helpful, along with basic computer familiarity.
