Driver Helper

The Driver Helper assists with delivery routes by supporting the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout Manhattan. This position works alongside a driver to load and unload items, organize deliveries, carry packages to designated locations, and help verify that items are handled correctly. Duties may also include checking shipment labels, reporting route or delivery concerns, and maintaining a professional presence when interacting with customers or building staff. Candidates should be dependable, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Basic reading and communication skills are important, along with the ability to work cooperatively as part of a route team. Prior experience in delivery, warehouse, or moving work is useful but not always required. Physical demands can include frequent lifting, carrying, bending, climbing stairs, and extended time on foot. The schedule is typically full time and may involve early starts, daytime hours, or route-based variations. Compensation may be negotiated within the posted range based on relevant experience.
