The Food Runner supports front-of-house service by delivering menu items from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately in a busy Brooklyn dining setting. This role helps ensure each plate is complete, presented correctly, and delivered to the right table while maintaining clear communication with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff. Typical duties include checking ticket details, confirming special instructions, assisting with table resets as needed, and keeping service stations organized and stocked. The position also requires monitoring guest needs during service and helping maintain a clean, safe dining area. Baseline qualifications include strong attention to detail, a customer-focused attitude, the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, and basic familiarity with restaurant service procedures. Prior restaurant experience is helpful but not always required. Physical demands commonly include standing for extended periods, walking multiple trips between kitchen and dining room, and carrying food trays or plates.
